Retinol During the Day? 🤔
Absolutely!
Retinol is a skin care superstar, proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines, hyperpigmentation, melasma, wrinkles and noticeably affect acne. As we previously discussed, Retinol (Vitamin A) can become unstable in the presence of UV light. To protect our serum from light and enhance its photostability, we've placed it in a capsule for single-use.
After a capsule is opened and applied to the skin our serum must be followed by a broad spectrum SPF. Studies have shown that when Retinol is combined with a SPF of 30 it effectively improves photo-aged skin allowing us to enjoy both Vitamin A and the sun ☀️(with precautions!).
Hey Kimberly!
So glad you learned something new and your family sounds lovely! 🤗 We 💞all things beauty..and pink of course! 😉
The word “peptide” is the name given to a short string of amino acids (amino acids are the building blocks of protein).
There is little scientific evidence that supports the efficacy of peptides in skin care products. There is some evidence that peptides help with collagen synthesis and may reduce pigmentation, but overall there are much more effective anti-aging ingredients supported by stronger bodies of scientific research available (like Retinol, Retin A, Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acids, etc.). ☺️
Please note that peptides like Botox that are directly injected into wrinkles or fine lines are highly effective. Our comments are limited to peptides placed in over-the-counter, non-drug beauty products. 💫
Wow Vow! I never knew this about the UV light! I am excited to try the Retinol and C serums! I am a 51 year old Mom of a 31 year old… an 11 year old…and I am a Grammy to a 7 year old too! All girls and we LOVE all things Beauty! And I have a question about the new hype concerning Peptides and Amino Acids…do they work? Are they affordable? Do you think Vow is going to bring a new Peptide product? Thanks for making my day y’all! Vivre la Vow!
